Member Code of Ethics

As a member of the Ketchikan Visitors Bureau, I will strive to improve the enjoyment of visitors to our city, and to that end I pledge:

  • To always project a positive image of Ketchikan and its visitor industry
  • To cooperate with other members in promoting Ketchikan
  • To embrace the KVB core values:
    • To use integrity in all business dealings;
    • To focus on customer satisfaction;
    • To strive for continuous improvement in visitor products and services offered;
    • To use common sense and a “give-and-take” approach to sustainable economic growth; and 
    • To practice truth in advertising in the marketing and promotion of my business.
  • To abide by the KVB commandments whereby we:
    • Solicit and respect the opinions of others;
    • Are committed to the idea that everyone has the power to make a difference;
    • Promote team effort;
    • Commit to trusting others;

  • To conduct business in a legal and ethical manner and not to use business practices that damage other KVB members through association.
  • To abide by the policies and procedures of the KVB in relation to the members, the Board of Directors, staff and government entities.
  • To communicate to the executive director public reaction to KVB policies and programs.
  • To stay informed about current visitor industry issues and participate in KVB programs.
  • To represent the KVB in a positive and supportive manner at all times and in all places.
