Getting Here by Air

Ketchikan is just 90 minutes by air from Seattle, with several daily flights in and out provided by Alaska Airlines. Scheduled daily jet service is also available to and from Anchorage, Juneau, Sitka, Petersburg and Wrangell.

Ketchikan International Airport is located on Gravina Island, a five-minute ferry ride to town. Ferries depart from the airport on the hour and half-hour; ferries depart from the city to the airport 15 and 45 minutes after the hour. Adult fare is $6; one-way fare for a standard car is $7. Cash and credits cards are accepted. Free baggage carts are available. Most hotels and many lodges offer shuttle services to and from the ferry, be sure to check on specifics before you arrive.

Airlines, Air Taxis and Private Aircraft

Alaska Airlines provides daily flights into Ketchikan. Once you’re here, you can easily connect and contract with one of our many air taxi services to fly you out to your next local destination—a neighboring community, perhaps, or a flightseeing excursion to see the Misty Fjords National Monument. Connections to outlying areas are available at the airport or in town. Ground service and parking space is also available for private aircraft.
